I found this in today's Yahoo Japan news. A love story, "A train man" was born and grew up at 2 channel, and that true story would be released as a book. Thinking of bad or crazy image for 2 channels, today's news made me smile a little.
This is the true story.
One night, a 22 years old shy anime otaku guy (yes usually an unwelcome type for woman) helped a girl who was annoyed with obnoxious drunk in a train. She sent a thank you gift to him, and he wanted to ask her out on a date. But he did not know how to do it. So he asked for help at "nerd guys board" on 2 channel. So other nerds responded to him, many guys gave him a lot of advice, how to ask a date, what to wear, where to go, so much in great detail. A train man took this advice and reported what was going on between him and her on 2 channel board. Two months later, when he successfully confessed his love to her, the 2 channel board was filled up with text arts of congratulation for him. They left some of them in this page. You can read all of them on 2 channel in this book.
ha ha ha strange, and funny but this story makes me smile. It has been said that this book is a new style of literature, anonymous messages created a boy's life and love.
Recently the mobile Internet has created good novels or movies in Asia. For example, the Korean movie My sassy girl was an internet novel. Japanese TV drama Deep love (I heard this novel is rubbish) is an internet novel too. Ah! if the world were a village of 100 people were the internet contents originally right? I really enjoyed reading that book.

Apparently there are otaku that would save a lady in distress.

Hey, have you found a place yet where you can buy the movie? And is it dubbed? b(^__^)b

Searching for a Web site to buy my own copy of the movie "Train Man" (Densha Otoko ?) was how I came across your 'blog' in the first place. :)
It's a nice story. I'm very happy for the both of them. :)
