Well, if the housefly story is true, I'm entertained. But the baby story? It says the father did not mourn the death of the child..but to parade it around as some sort of spectacle? I know that some cultures do carry their dead through the streets as an act of mourning, but what purpose did this serve since apparently the parent's were not sad?

Baby and Maid are fake, I think. Both look impossible.

Hi Mari! I thought your blog was gone since I couldn't access www.mari-selections.com anymore. Somehow I was linked to here. I'm glad to see your blog is tsill up. That mutated baby was so disturbing! I thought it was a fake at first. That is so sad.

I think the world would be a much more interesting place if the baby and housefly stories were actually true. Alas, I fear those are the April Fool jokes.

The baby one actually looks like the baby from a short-lived children's show in North America (I think it was Disney who produced it) where it was a family of Dinosaurs and the plot resembled a regular family sitcom. The baby dinosaur in that had the catch phrase "Not the Momma!". I half expected to see that as a caption beneath the photograph in the story. Did that show ever make it overseas?

A baby of that kind might be true!!
