This year, we have the Uchimizu project again. I wrote about it last years and two years ago, it's an established custom in summer.
Talking about summer, tomorrow I will go to see Tokyo Bay Fireworks fest at my friend's "Dona Dona House" near Tokyo Bay. Like I wrote before, my foreign friends said Japanese fireworks are the best. So I am looking forward to tomorrow.
By the way, I like to watch Anthony Bourdain 's TV show. On "A cook tour" he came to Japan and tried Sushi, Fugu, Obento and other foods from vending machines. He ate a hamburger, but I have never and I will never eat a hamburger on vending machine... Even though for Japanese, non-vacuum-packed food is weird. My friend Ed has a very funny page about odd vending machines in Japan. I must tell you, the machines he wrote about are very rare and some of them I have never seen. It's very funny, check it out!

hahahahahaha, awesome :D
I just linked you in my blog

Never saw "A Cook's Tour". I dun think US Food Network is showing it anymore.
He has a new show on the Travel Channel called "No">http://travel.discovery.com/fansites/bourdain/bourdain.html">"No Reservations". It's a lot of fun and according to people that have seen both shows, No Reservations is a lot more fun and unrestrained. I like it. He smokes and drinks a lot and eats everything presented to him.
Actually, he has a serious episode coming up. He was filming a show in Beirut when he and his crew were caught in the beginning of the fighting.
The show is downloadable at the iTunes music store too.
