Abe Shinzo elected as Japan's PM

AbeShinzo Abe was elected as Japan's prime minister. He is conservative guy from politician family(why wiki choose that photo?), his wife seems cheerful lady though. At the moment of new PM born, each TV network had flash news and special TV program. Then what did the TV Tokyo broadcast at the time? Here it is. Abe san seems a Great Satan....I wrote a superior manner of TV tokyo before. They never let us disappoint. :-) I like most this. At that moment, Kyushu area had very big earthquake.

Do you know UFO came to Japan in Edo period and the very detail docment is left. This English site wrote about it. Hmm very interesting.

This is the Global Competitiveness Report 2006-2007 of Global Economic Forum. Japan ranks No.1 in some category like education, healthcare and engineering innovation. But Japan rank in 7th, becaues of deficit finance.

What do you think about the 'beautiful country' idea? What will Abe be able to do?

Hi there
thank you for your comment. Thanks martic
Yes that was what I means. TV Tokyo ignore everything, maybe they will broadcast such silly TV shows even thought Japan sink in the ocean.

bshock, no, TV Tokyo didn't use that photo for Mr. Abe. What Mari is saying is that TV Tokyo completely ignored Abe, and showed that film instead. And it seems TV Tokyo has a habit of always ignoring major events, such as earthquakes. Dolph Lundgren is Swedish by the way, just thought I'd get that in as well!

The photo that TV Tokyo used for Mr. Abe is from the film "Masters of the Universe," starring Frank Langella as "Skeletor" (the character pictured) and Dolph Lundgren. The film was inspired by an American cartoon from the 1980s, "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe," which in turn was inspired by a line of toys from the same period.

My apologies to Americans reading this, who will probably have recognized the reference immediately.

I love those husband and wife politician photos like the one you've linked to at the Times Online! They look like they're supposed to be excited and happy with their fists raised in a cheer, but their faces look totally serious not at all happy! :-)
