Akihabara
This is the latest cover of Newsweek Japan. The title is "Moeru Sekai" (Moe world) They write about the influention of Akiba (akihabara) culture. Hmm, I should check it.
Talking about Akiba, this is an English site "Akihabara news." They talk about computer news. "News akiba.com" has a lot of topics which Akiba kei (Akiba type) will enjoy. They update anime, figures, costume play, parody, YouTube, and such topics every day. I check this "Akihabara Keizai Shinbun" site personally. They write about what is happening in the real Akihabara.
I will pick some recent news.
One year has passed since Tokyo Anime center opened. Last week they held a ceremony to honor its 300,000 visitors.
TOWER RECORDS arranges tie-ups with the maid cafe "No maid, No life." Maids will appear in TOWER RECORDS this weekend.
Japanese home products KAIJIRUSHI has released the Char ZAKU red shaver.
A new shop "rare mono shop" opened in Akiba. The shop sells a few rare items. This is "Gorone desk almi" (liie dozing aluminum desk). Ha ha, it's funny: EMS on your mouse, heater on your mouse. I want this Super Silent keyboard.
Keizai Shinbun (news) has other hot towns' news the same as Akiba. I read about Shinbashi, Shibuya, Roppongi, Ginza, Kichijoji, Shimokitazawa, Yokohama. I wish they had English pages.

well, I think typing is only fun when it is noisy... lol
