Norton fighter
Did you know we can buy meat, vegetables, eggs and such foods on amazon Japan. Those foods are organic or such special foods, that's good though, but I am not sure I will buy bean sprout on amazon, the price is 61yen. But delivery fee is 750yen and it will take one or two weeks to deliver.
It's Pink Ribbon Campaign week in Tokyo now. Some places are lighting up in Pink. Yesterday, Tokyo Tower was lit up in pink..
What anti virus program are you using? I was using AOL's free program "Active Virus Shield", when I get a new PC, I was going to use it again. However!! they stopped service!! I used Norton before, but it was too heavy for my PC. I read that symantec has new Norton campaign. It's called Norton Fighter. They have Norton Fighter events in Akihabara. Hmm Look at their ad. it's chilly. What a cheesy! they do this on purpose?

AVG free is very good, and light on system resources. Ad-Aware and Spybot free versions are excellent for finding 'bad' programs that have loaded themselves on to your computer, but they are not active defenses.

Hahaha, if you think the print ads are cheezy, look at this CM:

They've made this Norton Fighter event into a CM! Just look at how funny it is... viruses harassing otaku, meido, and storm troopers, while fighting on the street in Akiba. They even held signs of 2ch's "Mona" mascot. I hope they sell more copies to 2ch otas!

I used to have PC-Cilin antivirus software. Two years ago my PC became very slow but the antivirus software I had did not find any viruses. I checked with the on-line version of Computer Associates and it found a virus. So, after this, I have stayed with CA, but I don't know how good their service would be in Japan.

I use a free program from Lavasoft called Ad-Aware. But of course I never get a virus, because I never check any naughty websites ;)

Being that I work at a hospital (pathology lab - we diagnose a lot of breast cancer!) it is great to see such an enthusiastic breast cancer awareness campaign in Japan! No pink lights in the US, unfortunately. What a beautiful, original, creative and effective way to increase awareness of breast cancer! Yoku dekimashita Nihon!

Hello!
Tocho looks good in pink, a little less intimidating I think.
For anti-virus I use AVG Free and have had no problems for years running on XP Pro English and Japanese versions. Get it here http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1/jp/frt/0

I like avast anti virus myself. It is regionalized for Japanese also. I have it installed on my wife's Vaio which is running the Japanese install of Vista Home Basic.
