This is great "20 Album Covers Recreated in LEGO". Originally it seemed liked the artworks of 。。"brickshelf.com". I wonder if the artist might be Japanese or a Japanese music fan. There are some Japanese CD jackets like "Tokyo Jihen" (here is the original Jacket) and Shinkai of Mr. Children (this is the original), etc.
When I saw a girl who wears clothes like a doll sometimes, I thought it would be a sort of cosplay. But I realized that I misunderstood. THAT is a genre of girl's fashion that is called "Age jo". Age came from their bible magazine "Koakuma Ageha"( means tiny devil swallowtail) and Jo means lady. There are two type of Age jo in this genre. One is a hostess of cabaret type. They wear this type of clothes and love shiny stuff. And another is the doll type Age jo and they wear super girlish clothes like a doll. Their favorite brand is "Jesus Diamante". Each item looks like French doll clothes, especially close to "made in Japan" retro French doll. And an important part of Age jo is their hair style that is called "Mori hair", Mori means bank. They think big hair is cute and make their hair bigger and bigger. Ha ha ha.
I found a funny TV show "Arashi chan" (Japanese idol group Arashi's TV show, the members report various kind of things, maybe you know NINO cause he appeared on "A letter from the Iwojima"). They picked up Age jo and you'll see real Age jo and the Shop "Jesus Diamante".

Hi there, for me it is impossible to wear such clothes and can't look cute or cool at any rate. Hmm maybe I am getting older and can't get young's sense.

From a male's point of view, I think the girly they look, the less sexy.
So should I say "Sorry, Imouto no youni shika mie nakute".
Or else, "Gomen, Ningyou nishika mie nakute." AHa Ha Ha Ha.

Yeah, NINO! He looked too handsome to be a conscript.

I looked at your link to the retro French dolls and I was surprised to see that they look just like my doll that I got for Christmas when I was 4 years old! I still have her - she is very beautiful. I think they were called "chanson ningyo." It must be a collector's item now!

I like some of the Age Jo fashion but not too over the top. Big hair is OK sometimes but not tooooo big.
