Tune eye ball and Mottainai
Ah cute! This is a famous video in Japan. That cat seems to enjoy it very much.
This is more cute news from Germany. Did you read it? Elope is said as "Kakeochi" and also if the couple chose death it is called "Shinju". Seventeenth-century writer Chikamatsu Monzaemon picked Shinju as his theme often. The most famous one is "The Love Suicides at Amijima". People always love sad love stories :-).
This guy bought a tuna eye ball at a super market in Japan and ate it. Was it a 1 dollar dinner? I have never seen eye balls in super markets. Maybe Oma in Aomori or such tuna catch landing places will have them in super markets. I heard tuna eye balls taste like jelly and they are very rich in DHA. He boiled his with salt, but usually we eat them cooked with soy sauce like this. Will you try?
Mottainai seems to become a world-wide word (I hope so). This is the MOTTAINAI Campaign site that Prof. Wangari Maathai is the honorary chair. And this is the Mottainai shop that sells eco and saving items. I like this shop because they try to let people
enjoy saving in a fashionable way. I wrote about Furoshiki before, so that we can reduce paper shopping bags. But I must admit that we have a very traditional image of furoshiki, and young people won't use it. But look at this Strawberry furoshiki! Very cute and fashionable! And this is an interesting idea! Garbage bag art work. In some areas, we leave garbage bags on the road and a garbage car picks them in the morning. Since we have to use a specified bag in Tokyo, the bag can have such art. Mottainai doesn't mean scrimping. The basic idea will be to cut wasting and taking of things, and to enjoy life. I think.

Thank you for this blog… exellent work!!!
