Nishikigoi are domesticated ornamental carp (Cyprinus carpio) that are kept for decorative purposes in outdoor ponds and gardens. We call them "jewels of the pond." But sometimes, these fish have markings that look like human faces and it's a well known phenomenon called "jinmengyo" (human face fish). You can see more examples at Google images. Today I found a TV show about a "CAT FACE fish." Look at this, it actually looks like a cat!!
The myth of the Sony "kill switch." I found this article on UK Telegraph. In Japan, a surprising number of consumers really do believe that Sony products are programmed to break as soon as the warranty expires. Yes, we call it the Sony Timer. I feel that the Sony timer in my video camera is counting down everyday. Recently, the USB doesn't work well, and I bought only two years ago!
I really don't like this topic: "Japanese Gyaru (girly) culture popularizes throughout the world like manga." Here is the site "everyday gyaru," where girls all over the world post their Gyaru photos; some have mori hair, all girls pose in the gyaru style (with the peace sign and AHIRU guchi = duck mouths).
