We have a research, many manga fans are not pleased to "the news manga is made into real film". Death Note, BECK, KAIJI, etc,. basically we can read on the Internet no good reputation about those . Nodame and Hachikuro had good reivews so maybe drama story would be okay.
This year, another popular manga made into film and they will be released soon.
One is Thermae Romae, The story is Roman architect found a hidden spa which is time tunnel to modern Japanese public bath and he inspired by it and create new idea in his own spa in Roma. It"s very funny. Here is a trailer, Roman guy is Hiroshi Abe. Nothing wrong he acts like Roman. he he he.
Another one is Uchu Kyodai. it's drama who dreamed to be an astronaut. Younger brother made it but older one lost his job and lied down. But one day he got an old tape from his younger brother and he heard what they promised long time ago.
Both manga were nominated to Manga taisho a few times and Terumae Romae won once.
But biggest news would be BLEACH. It goes Hollywood and Mashi Oka will be a producer of this movie. we are not sure yet even who will direct the movie.
