To be honest with you, this week, I am not quite 130% happy because of my work. So, to find inspiration, I will introduce the man who gives me energy this night. Jiro Shirasu (JP) was the man who negotiated for the GHQ, General Headquarters of the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers, after Japan's defeat in WW2. He also worked in making Japan's post war constitution . Shirasu was called the "difficult Japanese" by GHQ in those days, but was a person of high principles, even though during the war, he criticized policy without caring for his own safety. He was wanted to enter politics, but he did not want to be a person in authority. Actually, Shirasu is a legend because of his tough personality, his dignified style and modern thinking (bred in the UK and studied at Cambridge). His black sense of humour, irony and handsome good looks (tall and dark) added to his appeal, plus he drove a Porsche well past his 80th birthday. His wife, Masako Shirasu was also a famous collector and a writer on Japanese art. Near my home, was their last house, named Buaiso. (JP). The sound of this houses' name has meanings gruffness, but chinese charactore has meaning "love each other", very lovely wit. Buaiso is still "chic and modern" Japanese style even today. Of course the owners of the house, Jiro and Masako, have passed away, but I feel I can sense their "straight up" mind and soul. A message from them would be "enjoy your life all along your way". Since I have never visited their old home (which is only two train stops from my home!), I will visit there soon.
Difficult Japanese ? Why ? I don't understand what's the point..

When I need to get motivated, I ask myself, "What would Henry Rollins do?"
