I was laughing when I saw the trailer of Supersize Me. ha ha ha. Any ways, if he tries to eat this riceburger, his condition will be worse?! (not sure) Rice burger?!? A Hamburger made from rice? Yes! Japanese like hamburgers, too! There are a lot of McDonalds and Wendy's in Japan and also Asian based shops like MOS Burger and Lotteria. Come here and everything you see will have a tweak of Japanese, the favorite being a hamburger made from rice. Yes, Japanese love their rice!
MOS Burger
MOS is a fast food restaurant and they serve a kind of hearty hamburger whihc has many loyal fans. They are also famous for experimenting with hamburgers and they also make extremely expensive hamburgers, such as the Master of Taste series. Or, they create promotional campaigns, for example, "Instead of buns, we use only lettuce and add as much meat as possible!" like in the U.S. Currently, their special is KATSUO( Bonito) burger(JP). What do you think? I did not try it yet.
Here is MOS's rice burger line up.
-Sauted burdock rice burger (salted and sweetened burdock, carrot, with no meat)
-Broiled meat rice burger (BBQ-ed. It has been temporarily shelved because of the BSE scare! BSE affects these types of shops everywhere)
-Fried Seafood burger (seafood tempura)
am/pm
am/pm is a convenience store that always serves warm lunch boxes. They have the largest selection of rice burger among convenience stores.
Here is am/pm's rice burger line up.

- Mayonnaise & ginger pork broiled (Ginger pork)
- Hamburger (Regular hamburger)

Actually, if you can cook rice it's possible. Check out this recipe.

150g beefloin, thinly sliced
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 lettuce
2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
2 cups rice
2 cups water
2 Tbsp. sesame oil
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
It is delectably good. Be sure to try it!
I love MOS Burger's saut・d burdock burger. Burdock and carrot cooked with sugar and soy sauce sounds so delicious... doesn't it? Ah, is it not common to eat burdock in foreign countries? A burdock is an edible root, full of fibre, doesn't sound good does it. In Japan, it is used in many dishes. Packed with flavor it is a staple for soup stock, and is indispensable in Japanese cooking.
