When you were a child, what song did you sing in music class at elementary school? I love listening to music, so I am well acquainted with UK rock, but I have no idea about standard songs and the music of each country. UK? Other European countries? No idea. Okay I SUPPOSE in the U.S., they sing Foster's songs?? We Japanese sing his Oh, Susanna・ Camptown Races・・Old Folks at Home・in music class. Ah I loved very much the song Grandfather's Clock・by Henry Clay Work. It sounds very warm and nostalgic. And I was not the only one who felt like that as a child, Japanese singer Ken Hirai released it as a CD and it was a big hit. I was happy as a Grandfather's clock lover. Please look at his PV here. Not so bad I think. He tries to sing it in in English too.
Now in Japan, his new single "Omoiga kasanaru sono mae ni" is No.1 in the Japanese rcharts. This song is used for TV CM of TV CM of Toyota Corolla Fielder.
-A small boy waits for his friend Ken, who is on tour. Finally Ken comes back, but the boy pretended not to wait for Ken acated, and act like he came over him on the way to get a can of juice "sheer luck" he says- cute and nice song.

do you listen to franz ferdinand? modest mouse? etc. i'm not exactly sure if they're british but their sound reminds me of uk rock.

The Grandfather's Clock song is supposedly based on a true story, but of course it is probably just a legend. So.. who is the "old man" that died? Take a guess!
