The numbers of victims is fortunately not so big. But damage to the agriculture of "Nigata Chuetsu Earthquake" is huge, far beyond "1995 Kobe earthquake". Yes Nigata has a big rice fields, it is an agricultural production district. Nigata also produces ornamental carps.(Nishiki goi). Nishiki goi are called the jewelry of the pond. And expensive ones cost more than a million yen. It depends on shape, color, kind? All Japan Nishikigoi Promotion Association has a competition every year, and this was the last year's winner. Hmm beautiful, however, hard to find the differences from other for me. They say crippling damage to breeding ornamental carps (Nishiki goi) will be 4billion yen.
. By the way, talking about Carp, I remember JINMENGYO! It means a carp has a face looks like man. It was a boom in Japan around 1990. At first we think it was very odd, and rare. However gradually we knew that Carps could have such type of ornament on their head sometimes. Look here and here. You know it is not so rare.
The blue fish has properties of a high nutritional value and nutritional food that makes it essential for a healthy and balanced diet, recommended for all ages and physiological stages. In addition, its consumption may improve symptoms of some diseases and contribute to the prevention of others, particularly cardiovascular disease.

"JINMENGYO! It means a carp has a face looks like man."
Wow -- I have never heard of such a thing -- pretty crazy.
Mari - do you like eel? How does it taste? I don't really care for fish or seafood, but I think that eating fish would be better than eating eel. Maybe?
