Octopuses occasionally stroll around on two arms. I love this movie. A walking Octopus! it is so cute. I 've heard only a few countries routinely eat octopus, but at least Korea, China, Vietnam, Italy, Greek, such Mediterranean countries and Turkey would eat it in original ways. And perhaps most Sushi bars in the world would have it, so it is not so hard to have a chance to try it.
Octopus is Tako in Japanese. We eat Tako in various ways. Tsuji Cooking Academy shows how to prepare Octopus for cooking. I love Sushi, Takoyaki, boiled, Sea food salad, Marinade, Vinegared, vinegar miso dressing, Oden, Octopus rice, (Tako-Tacco rice!) and we have Dried octpus. You can enjoy all octupus dishes in some Japanese restaurants. Octopus is such a familiar food item for us; we have a motif called Tako-karakusa.
Ah! We even cut red sausage into an octopus shape, pretty?. Japanese like such ornamental Obento (Hmm great Obento site! Her obento is not only cute, but it also has some story. I add this page to my obento lover list.) If you want to try it yourself, she shows how to cut the sausage on the lower part of this page. Those are cute for me, however if you are not in the habit of eating "devil fish", you might not like it. Maybe weird?, W ell, but to us, it is delicious.
