Since I don't wish to go shopping for expensive brand names when I go abroad, I allow myself to choose a nice hotel to stay in. A nice accommodation is my only hang up! I really don't care about food. My friend, on the other hand, is quite the opposite She does not doesn't care where she sleeps as long as she can enjoy fine dining wherever she goes.
Finally, I have made my affodable accomodation of Tokyo list. It is not yet finished and I still need to research a bit more, but since I am asked about hotels sometimes, I wanted to put this up as soon as possible. The list would might be helpful for someone who wants to stay in Tokyo for a reasonable price.
Hi Mari,
Did you bite your tongue on 1st May Sunday ?
After dinner, my sister and I were talking about your blog and I was just commenting that you had said you would write a post on cheap stays in Japan. I didn't know at that time you had posted this on Sun afternoon !
Thanks a million !

Has anyone visited Taito Ryokan? How can you miss? It's in the same block as Mos Hamburgers (^-^)

Hmmm. I've stayed at a lot of these places...
My current fave is the Juyoh because it's clean, cheap AND it has free Wi-Fi and wired broadband in the lobby!

Wow, that list is really useful. I wish I had it a year ago when I stayed in a crappy backpacker hotel for 2 months. I found some nice guest houses that are cheaper than the bad hotel. Thanks a lot, Mari! Maybe I can afford to go to Tokyo again!
