I wrote about Depa-chika, and it gave me a interesting experience with Barbara of San Jose Mercury. But I read recently depa OKU is hot. What is depaoku? Oku stand for Okujo, it means roof top area.
When I was a kid, there were a kind of small amusement park for kids, there were small automatic rides, and some big department store has even a small ferris wheel. Here is old movie of department store. But I don't know why or when, the roof area of department store got to be a dead area. Maybe they did not have no idea for outside of roof area except for a small park for kids.
Then finally recently some department store tried to make them into use and change people's image.Yes they are trying to change Depaoku as a cute place. Some made good pet shops, you know in Japan people can be so crazy for their pets, and some made cafe there. Actually it is good idea because it is outside. Depa-oku! I am not sure it can be a boom like depachika, because most of them are still dead.but I will see.*
(need your proof reading help. thank you)

But even on department store roofs, Japanese pet shops still keep dogs in boxes no bigger than the animal.
