A song of country boy

I love travel, but I have only stayed in the United States of America for 10 days on business. My American friends were surprised to know how I don't know much about the States.  I liked this photo because of his hairy back, but my friends laughed at this because it is in the Redneck site. Until he explained about it, I have never seen/read about rednecks. (Maybe I understand about it now.)

"Inaka-mono" means the country people in Japanese. But Inaka-mono does not have any particular character like Red Neck, the South, white, poor. (Right?) Talking about Inaka-mono jokes. A few "self-deprecating humour" songs were popular before.  Hanawa is a singer from Saga prefecture, here is his hit song "Saga ken" in 2003. You can see his PV here.

(Ah! Exactly. kids in urban school wear pretty hats though.)

Finally Beef Bowl shop has opened here in Saga.
Of course it has an orange colour shop panel,
However shop name is Yoshidaya.
(It's true. MaybeYoshinoya doesn't have interests in this area?  )

Surely Yankee can be popular for girls here.
Surely what is "camisole"? I don't know.
Surely ants are big here.
(Yankee! Now I remember! It's an article from Saga actually,  And camisole and nude bra - yes that!-  they were old trends)

I don't know why, "nata de coco" is boom now.

Yasuko Matsuyuki never tells she came from Saga.
(Nata de coco was the big boom in the 90s. We have nata de coco stuff still now. I like this now.  And Yasuko Matsuyuki is an actress who is popular because of her sophisticated mood.)

Well it will be true Saga prefecture is nonentity compared to other prefectures,  Many people from the mainland or other areas can't tell where it is on a map of Japan !  I'm not kidding. Because I couldn't do it actually.

Redneck does not necessarily apply to poor Southern White folks. Redneck can be a lifestyle among Southern White folks. Not all rednecks married cousins, chewed tabacco or racists. I am Asian and my best pal is a redneck.
