what? again? Yes, it is nice to fill the post. Why do they not have "W"? My site name had to be "Atashi to Tokyo". Well it is okay we say Atashi too, it 's casual way to say "Watashi"
You know maid cafe, then now we have a new wave, "the butler cafe". Guys wearing butler costumes serve cake and tea the butler way. This article said the cafe is very popular and booked until end of the June. The cafe will be secretive, I can't find any pictures on their official site, I could find just a few in this blog. According to their recruiting, clean and beautiful hands are preferable to looks, and they said "Welcome over 60 years old". Hmm the point will not be viewing butler, girls will enjoy the mood of "Ojosama = Princess". even thought they pay 1050yen for a cup of tea!!?....orz wierd. In last year, because of Train man, Akiba kei people became widely accepted, but I am getting tired of Akiba kei news. No reality they don't have. By the way, don't confuse Akibakei and Otaku. I like Otaku.
The Thai horror movie "Shinrei Shashin = Shutter" will be released in Japan. It is very rare that a Thailand movie is released in the theater in Japan, the movie is not a new one, actually in North America the DVD was released already. By the way in this movie they used real ghost photographs taken in Thailand. And as commonly happens in horror movie, the stuff has strange experiences like PC crush, injures, etc. You may check it on DVD or the sites.*
Hi there
Oh I made you confused, sorry for that. many people use Otaku for animation fan, Gundam fan, Akiba people. and sometime I also use the Otaku word easily. But real Otaku is meister of something. So Otaku < Akibakei. Some of Akibakei would be called Otaku, if they have some deep and huge knowledge for something.
Watashi is a word means "I", guys and women both can use it, but when guys use it, it sound polite. Usually guys use ORE or BOKU in casual conversation. Only women use Atashi, it's a spoken word for women.

Hello Mari,
I was wondering: Is it true that 'atashi' is generally used only by young women? I suppose it would be highly unusual for a male to say 'atashi'.
Thank you.

I'm a little confused about your comments on otaku. From your earlier diary entry, it would seem that akiba-kei are a subcategory of otaku. If that's the case, then perhaps you mean to say that you like some types of otaku and not others.
Also, while I'm sure it's not an original observation, your description of otaku suggests they suffer from Asperger's Syndrome.
