I did not know that this product is called an "Elizabeth collar." It would come from Elizabeth. Hm, funny. You would use it on your dog because you love your dog. But have you ever imagined how it's incomfortable or no problem? He did. I like such simple funny articles. He said he can survive because we have "SAIBASHI" (long chopstick for cooking). But noodles aren’t a good choice when you are wearing an Elizabeth collar.
By the way, that wikipedia said "Japanese kitchen chopstick." Does this mean other chopstick tribes like the Chinese, Korean, or Vietnamese don't use long chopsticks for cooking? Kichen tool shops are always fun to visit when I go abroad. You may find unique Japanese kitchen tools when you come to Japan.
Guess what this is! It’s Takoyaki plate. You can cook Takoyaki at home. So of course this is a Taiyaki plate. (I think it's good for your pancake! Fish shape pancakes!)
Next one. This is an Oden pot. There is no need to mix together each Oden ingredient -- just sink them in the same soup. You can find this at a convenience store too.
How about this? That is a Zarusoba plate. Since water can drain, noodles won't get soft.
Maybe some will know this. That is "Shamoji." It's big spoon for serving rice. I use this type of shamoji. The irregularity of the surface prevents rice from sticking.
Talking about kitchen tools, Kappabashi is the kitchen tool street. You can find any kitchen tool (for professional use too) there, including food sample too.
Then now I realize Greg wrote this post, I agree with the Toilet part! And it's true, this country is safe very much. But unfortunately there are rude people too in this country. And people are not so friendly to foreigners. My American friends complain about it.
I miss takoyaki! :)

Hi Mari,
I found your site via JapanProbe. It is wonderful!
I subscribed to your RSS feed. I am curious to know how you studied English? I want to write my blog in Japanese to improve my language and do you have any ideas? I know you must be busy, but if you have time, send me an email.
Thanks!
