The Tokyo Motor Show will start this month. Here is the official web site. I found a post about Honda's concept car "PUYO" design. They say PUYO has a soft body. The famous game PUYO POP is called "PUYO PUYO" in Japan. "PUYO PUYO" means soft touch like jelly or slime originally in Japanese. When I saw the PUYO first, I remembered "YAWARAKA TANK." "YAWARAKA TANK" is a short flash movie series about a soft and cowardly tank. It became popular on the Internet a few years ago because of its ironic messege for the war.
This is great art work using the plastic train toy "Pla Rail" of Takara Tomy (they are famous for the mini car collection "Tomica") . This is Pla Rail's official site and they used only rail parts. It's beautiful.
Here is the page "Cramped City Living: 10 of the Narrowest Houses in the World." Interesting post, I am glad to see they didn't miss Japanese houses (last one). But maybe they are not the narrowest. My favorite site "Thin Buildings" has narrower houses :-), check more...
Talking about buildings, I love these topics: Thomason, Small House, Strange Rent, Strange Room layout, Ugly Building! I don't write such topics recently, ah, I find a good topic to write!! (yes yes I am in topic slump now) okay I will pick some soon :-).
I picked this one in Meguro as the ugliest building. We call it the Umeboshi building. People who know the taste (I think all Japanese) have to have saliva in our mouth seeing the Umeboshi like you do with a lemon; it's very sour, but very delicious. I found a blog part of Umeboshi today. Since making saliva is good for health, using and seeing this part will be good. If you don't react to them, try an Umeboshi first. :-)
I really like the Nissan Pivo! I think the Toyota Rin is pretty cool, too, and maybe more practical-looking for everyday life.
