Amnesty International "Ink" 2008
Hmm The economy is weakening. This is an article from the Japan Times: "1920s proletarian novel strikes chord with young underemployed". I remember reading some novel by Takiji Kobayashi. But I didn't know that young people are feeling this way and are having such a hard time finding a job these days.
Have you ever heard the Aesop's fable "King Midas has Donkey's Ears"? A barber knew that the king had ears like a donkey's, and he had to keep this secret though he really wanted to tell it somehow. So he whispered it into the hole of a tree. This is a tool that allows you to tell secrets even if you don't have a tree near you: "a pot for your shout." Even big shouts will be changed into a whisper. Hmm convenient! But who needs this?
Wish I could come up with posts that cool.

They throw their shadows before them who carry their lantern on their back. That I exist is a perpetual surprise which is life. Do you understand?

Thanks for the link, Mari.
So powerful that it brought tears to my eyes.
Those of us from Japan, the U.S., and other powerful and well off countries do not always know how lucky we are, nor how much we ought to use what power we have to help those who are in need of protection and justice. Even in our own countries.
I'm going to send this link to my friends.
