Talking cat 'shio-chan'. I can hear some Japanese!! When we come home, we say ' Tadaima! ' (coming home! ) and family members say to us 'Okaeri' (welcome home!).
I guess this is the ugliest fake Mickey in the world.
Kyo-To-To is a brand name from Kyoto and Tokyo. They said their concept is a mixture of the craftmanship of Kyoto and the design of Tokyo. I like their table mat, this is rain, this is fire bug. Their Japanese towel tenugui is cute too. This is butterfly and this is crab. KAWAII! Pingmag has a nice post 'Kyototo: Elaborate Embroidery from Kyoto and Tokyo'.。。By the way, Japanese traditional tenugui has a good design. I guess it's good for souveniers of foreign people. My favorite shop is Kamawanu. Their season motif is really cute and I want them all! This is spring, summer, autumn and winter. They try western motifs too like this Santa one. I like simple blue one always.
In Japan, some companies have 'No over working day'. Usually it's set on Wednesday and actually some Izakaya set their happy hour on Wednesday. Another well known one is casual Friday. It's a rule you don't need to wear a suit on Friday, I guess it would be related to eco ideas (less AC and less heater). What is a unique institution in your company? This site sent out questionnaires to 600 people in the Kanto area. Here are some answers.
No my car day: It won't be possible in the U.S.
Supporting Eco car user: It's a good idea.
More vegetable day: It means you can get another vegetable dish in the company cafe. Hmm, I envy it.
Exercise time : At 3pm, music starts from the speaker and people have to stretch out.
A scary one is this; 'concentration hour'. From 1pm to 3pm, you can't chat and stand, you must concentrate on work....orz
My company has no special institutions, we have a massage room and can get a massage once a month. But I have never had it.
