This is watermelon carrying car, this car had fledge function, so you can eat cool watermelon in summer anywhere, anytime. Why we need this? Why we have to carry watermelon? Cause we have SUIKA WARI game that is splitting a watermelon with a stick while blindfolded. Usually we play the game in beach. However I don't need this at all.
I love this post, he really loves chocolate mint ice cream but it's hard to find it in market in Japan, so he tried to make it by himself with mint tablet, mint gum, mint oil and mint tooth paste! Then he said mint oil and mint tablet is too minty and mint gun doesn't taste mint, mint tooth paste was best....orz.
Yahoo!Japan auction's handmade section is really fun to see. Especially I like this stuff animals. cuuuuuute.
This girls talked in Japanese but this is green tea TV ad of Thailand. We don't see fish freshness in such way. Usually buyers watch the color or glaze of cross-section of tail. So they cut tail like this in fish market.
Several years ago, I wrote a few columns in this FREE Japan-based English-language magazine Japanzine. The magazine contains a lot of useful information about Japanese cities, entertainment, restaurant, bar and also s several articles both satirical and serious on Japanese life. Actually the funny serialized manga Charisma man was on Japanezine. Now they have 20th Anniversary edition and you can read it by download, check it out. And today I found the free English magazine of Yokohama city "Yokohama seasider" . I really love Yokohama and hopefully want to live there sooner or later. I will get this magazine next time!
BECK is a manga about boys on a rock band named
"BECK". I am not sure but this manga was called Mongolian Chop Squad to avoide conufusion with Beck of UK like they changed their band name in the story. I've just began to read the manga since last week cause my coworker touted me :-). I can say it's not so bad. The manga was made into anime in Japan and live action film "BECK" is released in Japan in this summer. Takeru Sato play main character "koyuki", Hiro Mizushima acts as Ryusuke. These two guys would be most hottest young actors in Japan now. Here is a trailer, hmm manga seems to be better to me though.
Tadanori Yokoo is a Japanese graphic designer, illustrator, printmaker and painter. In the late 1960s he became interested in mysticism and psychedelia, deepened by travels in India. You may not know his name but you may know Santana's album Lotus and Amigo. Wiki said "he has often been (unfairly) described as the "Japanese Andy Warhol" or likened to psychedelic poster artist Peter Max, but Yokoo's complex and multi-layered imagery is intensely autobiographical and entirely original. By the late 60s he had already achieved international recognition for his work and was inclu! ded in the 1968 "Word & Image" exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Four years later MoMA mounted a solo exhibition of his graphic work organized by Mildred Constantine." I agree with that, I think his art is pretty unique. Here is his original site and you can watch his art works at online shopping pages. Postcards, Print, I like t his Mousepad.
Major general contractor Maeda had a fantasy section
which estimated site construction fees of building in animation or movies. In
2003 they estimated cost of garage
mazingerZ at 72 milion dollars. They said the
elevated bridge of Galaxy express 999 would be cost at 37 million
dollars. The section suspend operations for a while but they begin a new project
recently. This time they estimate Jaburo of Gundam.
They serialize their project in this Gundum site, it's really fun to read their Otaku
talking. If you like it try with translation.
Gantz
is a Japanese manga that tells the story of two boys who died in a train
accident. After the accident, they found they were in a small room with a big
black ball. It's beginning of a semi-posthumous "game" in which they and
several other recently deceased people are forced to hunt down and kill
aliens "SEIJIN". Gantz was made into live action film and will be released in January 2011. Nino of "Letters from Iwo Jima".and Kenichi
Matsuyama of Detroit Metal City and Death Note will act those two boys. Now we can see only short teaser.
I saw this a few years ago and I am happy to find this again.
Sanyo released they will sell rice bread cooker GOPAN in this autumn. GOPAN is named from GOHAN (rice) and PAN (Bread). The great ponit is you don't need to buy rice grain, you can cook bread by rice you have at home. Rice bread is lower caloiries than regular bread. But rice bread is not so popular and also rice grain is not reasonable. However it's hard to find family who don't have rice at home. I will promice I will buy this GOPAN! You can cook white rice bread, brown rice bread, Jusmin rice bread etc and of course also regular breads!
She did a great job on her makeup! This video is from Nioc Nico, the video site for 2 channel. The text flying across the video is the increasingly excited guys reaction, like "Ohhhhh, it's fake" when she put on the lashes. That is maybe the turning point when her face changed dramatically.
>Mount Koya (Koyasan) is located in the northeastern part of Wakayama and it has an 800m high valley amid the eight peaks of the mountain. It is a major pilgrimage site for followers of the Shingon sect of Buddhism that was founded by the monk Kukai. Recently this place has been getting popular with foreigners, especially French people because the travel guide Michelin ranked Koyasan with three stars. You can enjoy great natural scenery and the calm and holy mood that is far removed from the secular world. There are around 120 temples there and almost half the temples offer lodging for travelers (Shukubo) and serve Buddhist cuisine: Shojin Ryoji (vegetarian foods).
I found this food forum where people talk about combination of "soy sauce and butter." It's a very common flavor for Japanese people
The simplest way to try it is to put butter and soy sauce over rice or mix it with pasta. We have snacks like soy sauce and butter flavored potato chips, popcorn, etc. And in Japan, we also put soy sauce on corn, which is very delicious because the soy sauce makes the corn sweeter. Try it!
Here is a ranking of popular gourmet manga. We Japanese really love to read manga about food & cooking, and how human drama relates to foods. People not only read gourmet manga, but also try making their recipes. This is a great cooking site for manga recipes, all the foods look good!
1. Oishinbo (The Gourmet): Culinary journalist Yamaoka's food adventures. This manga not only features food, but it also includes food education and food safety concerns. This is the young Japanese artist Aya Kato's artwork. Her art seems to be a mixture of manga, traditional Japanese painting and French Art Nouveau.
This is a Swedish documentary about the suicide forest "Aokigahara." In the comments section of the Part 2 video, someone wrote: "OMG in second 19 to 22, you can see a white figure walking in the woods. watch it carefully." I saw it too, what is that?
The life size Gundam was rebuilt in Shizuoka prefecture, this time he has the beam saber. By the way, this video is great too: Papercraft Gundam.
KFC Japan had a local specialties menu before, but finally they will serve non-fried chicken throughout Japan. They will open a flagship store in Shibuya and they will
serve roast chicken
with bread baked in a stone oven. Of course they have regular fried chicken too.
They will need to change their store name to KNFC? Ha ha ha. Since the flagship
store will have its own unique system, I am not sure if Colonel Sanders will stand in front of the shop as usual.
