Hanzi Smatter is a site collect mistakes in chinese characters in western culture. I enjoyed very much, but he must be Chinese or Taiwanese, some tattoo is not strange in Japanese. For example, this one means getting or or being crazy or enthusing, I think it's okay. But most kanji is really funny to me too. I love this blog.

 

Japanese mojor movie are forced to depend on Johnny's boys and old popular manga?

The Japanese historical movie "Ooku" was released yesterday. Kazunari Ninomiya, Hiroshi TamakiTamaki, and Kou Shibazaki star in it. Ooku was the special section of Edo Castle where the women connected to the reigning Shogun resided. They were the shogun's mother, wife, and concubines. Several thousand women, including maids and servants lived there. But this movie's story is completely fiction and everything is opposite from real history. In the story, most males have died from a plague and females rule the country. The Shogun is a woman (Kou Shibazaki) and there are 3000 boys in the Ooku. One of them is Mizuno (Nino), who comes to Ooku to help his poor family. Because of his intelligence and good looks, he goes up the path of promotion. Here is the trailer. For Japanese, it looks weird but I can say it's good to see such a lot of good looking boys.

As far as Nino's new movies go, I personally prefer GANTZ which will be released in January 2011. The new trailer of Gantz was accidentally release yesterday too.

TThe trailer looks pretty good but I don't expect too much because past movies have already shown that a live action movie remake of a manga rarely surpasses the original manga, for example 20th century boys, Death Note. As Johnny's boys' movie and also as a movie from manga, Takuya Kimura's "Space Battleship Yamato" and Tomorrow's Joe will come soon too. Japanese major movie studios are forced to depend on Johnny's boys and old popular manga?
