Today, Yahoo! Japan set up a power usage meter at the top of its homepage for people in the Kanto area who are trying to save power. Actually, they say that this power shortage will last until summer! If we have a super hot summer like we did last year, it will be hell. Also, I found this "saving power game," people check their power meters and tweet the numbers with the tag #denkimeter. Playing this game will help you learn which appliances (TV? fridge? microwave?) use the most power, it's a good idea.
This is Lum-chan of the manga Urusei Yatsura, as drawn by famous manga artists. Tetsuo Hara's Lum-chan is too sexy. She looks like she's from "Fist of the North Star".
I found this viral ad for Intel on the Internet! The ad's not released here in Japan, but I really like it.
I must admit, Japan Intel has made a lot of strange TV ads.
"Centrino, Centroino, Centrino"
"Travian, samuhai, samuhai!" The ballerina says: "This morning when I woke up, I became like this!! Hmm... Kafka world.
The pro soccer team Valencia changed their jerseys to spell out their names in katakana to cheer up Japan! Wow, so great! Thanks! That's lovely!

"Power saving game" doesnt have any meaning for me, because you need working servers and network infrastructure for this gema to be playable. And of course, all this network hardware need power to work. Alot more power than will be "saved" by such game.
First time posting here. Overall good blog about Japan, but i'd advice you to not trust local TV too much in matter of forming your opinion about current events.
