I finished Osouji (big cleaning) and eating Toshikoshi Soba (Year-End Soba), traditionally eaten in Japan on New Year's Eve to wish long life and fortune of next year.

Now red-white singing contest and Can't laugh comedy on TV but I don't need them, I just want to spend quietly tonight. Thank you for this year, see you soon next year.

Ace attorney is made into the film

Capcom game Ace Attorney, known in japan as Gyakuten Saiban (逆転裁判, lit. "Turnabout Trial") is made into the film. Since the Naru The game takes place in an urban city set in 2016 and later; for the Japanese versions, this city is somewhere in Japan, while the North American and European localization places the games in LA California.  Here is a trailer.  Crazy and funny.   

One of the world most beautiful train stations

The travel magazine "travel leisure" picked 16 of "world most beautiful train stations". Kanazawa station in Ishikawa pref was choose. Since I use airplane when I go there, I didn't know the train station is such nice.

sushi police and the best sushi place in Japana

I love this it's so funny.

Anyway the best sushi place in Japan is said a Michelin three stars sushi restaurant "Sukiybashi Jiro". The place is made into the movie in the U.S, this is the trailer.

Anthony Bourdain went to this place. mmm looks yummy.

The Kanji express 2011 is BOND

The Kanji express 2011 was released in Japan, it is "BOND (kizuna)". 9 months has passed since 311 but of course Tohoku area needs people's help still now. Kizuna will tie people and make Tohoku recover.

2011 World championship of custom bike building winner and his nice story

2011 World championship of custom bike building winner was Tavex 2011V made by Japanese shop Tavax Engineering, This is the one.

A shop owner Ken Tabata said, starting point of his creativity was a letter from a great master of TOKUSATSU. He loved Godzilla when he was a kid and he wrote a letter to Eiji Tsuburaya and say "please give me Godzilla' figure". Later a boy got a replay from the giant and Tsuburaya said "don't wait somebody give it to you, you should make it by yourself", then Tabata made it by himself with friends'help and he kept correspondence with Tsuburaya until Tsuburaya died in 1970. Tabata gave up movie creater but he made his bike shop at 24 years old and now it has become world wide famouse shop. Nice story.

A book "The Zen of Steve Jobs" will realese, Steve Jobs learned zen from a monk Otogawa Kobun Chino of Sotoshu.Here is a good article about him. About Soto zen, here is a movie page.

Here is a video show the life in Zen temple. You will think it looks very tough and hard, actually I agree with that!! I can't live even a few days, but you don't need have such strict one, you can take essential idea of zen, "make it simple!", maybe Steve did it.

Anyway I do meditation everyday, I can tell, it is great.
