ガンプラ "Gunpla" is a portmanteau of "Gundam plastic model". It is established as the hobby of assembling and painting them. Since Gundam is so big in this country, well high quality models are on sale at high cost.
For example, this Gundam was made a bid at about \920,000 ($9,200). Here is that builder's webside"Mesarion" and even I who has no interests to Gunpla can tell he did very delicate hand works.
By the way, I prefer to this one, "Paint Gundam in nude color". Legs are sexy and Gundam get to be very cute.
